Baek Ji-Eun

Park Kyung-Ae
Abstract
The aim of the current study is to present a summary of research focusing on the effectiveness/efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy for binge eating among adolescent and those in their early 20¡¯s, which have been published in foreign academic journals between year 2010 and 2016. Accordingly, a total of 31 foreign academic articles have been studied to figure out the emerging trend of therapeutic intervention of this area, considering that there is only limited research available in local setting despite the soaring necessity of research in recent years. The study focuses on reviewing the previous studies that varied its therapeutic elements, transformed its essential therapeutic intervention or suggested any integrated approach beyond CBT. Throughout the study, it is discussed what should be considered for the more effective and efficient approach on adolescent binge eating as a next step.
